Large scale panels

View to the house

The panel was made for a house in a village. Real view of a village was enhanced with imaginary historical details, real buildings were converted to a medieval wall, a chapel. The rocks mounted with a lighthouse and a millhouse. The roof of the house with this panel is highlighted with colour Technical information: 15X15 rustic tiles with bright white background, cobalt blue painting and a delicate touch of colour

Tiles for kitchen

Vegan kitchen in Portuguese style

Let's do something very Portuguese, but without the dead animals, she said. It's a vegan kitchen, she said. So the fish and hunting scenes you'd expect on an azulejo panel became vegetables instead, painted in cobalt blue. A Georgian coffee pot found its way in too, and a grain measuring cup from The Museum of Ethnography in Lisbon. The background isn't plain white. Two shades of white glaze, worked in to read like the uneven surface of a panel that's been on a wall for decades. Near the switches, a redstart. He visits this kitchen's window most mornings, so best not to startle him. 15x15 rustic tiles, bright white and cream white background, two shades of blue and touch of colours

Kitchen with rural Portuguese motifs

The set with animals and rural landscapes was painted on ready made tiles from a shop. The tiles where already bought when the costumer decided to bring artistic touch to the backsplash. We choose a few tiles, fired the samples to be sure that the 3rd fire after painting doesn't ruin original tiles and painted 7 tiles with motifs from rural Portuguese life Technical information: ready made commercial tiles and 3rd fire painting
