Azulejo Painting Experience in Lisbon
If you have ever wandered Lisbon and stopped to admire the azulejo tiles on a palace wall or a sunlit facade, this is your chance to step into that tradition and make something of your own. We run two formats, in two different neighbourhoods, for different rhythms of the day.

Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours
Start time: 17:30
A guided evening workshop with time to develop your pattern, explore technique, and complete your tiles ready for firing.
Each person paints 2 tiles, what is enough for a small composition on their own. Come as a pair and you leave with 4 tiles between you, which is enough to create a small panel.
Includes: 2 tiles per person, welcome wine, unlimited tea, all the materials and firing

Anjos Evening
Thank You Mama Café, Anjos Rua do Forno do Tijolo 9A, 1170-132 Lisboa Anjos sits between the historic centre and Graça, one of Lisbon's most characterful hilltop neighbourhoods, a short walk from Mouraria and Intendente and well connected by metro. The café itself is worth the visit on its own, known for its specialty coffee and homemade food. Arrive early and settle in before the workshop begins.
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
Time: from 12:00 to 14:00, arrive by 13:00 at the latest, earlier if you want more time to explore your design.
A focused single-tile session in a relaxed bar setting in the middle of the day. E'cru is a welcoming neighbourhood bar with food and drinks available during and after the workshop, making it a natural stop before exploring Príncipe Real, Chiado, or Bairro Alto. A good creative hour with something to show for it, fired and ready to collect within a few days.
Includes: 1 tile per person, welcome wine, all the materials and firing
São Bento Drop-In
E'cru Bar, Rua de São Bento Rua de São Bento 106 G, 1200-820 Lisboa São Bento connects some of the most visited parts of Lisbon on foot. The street runs between Príncipe Real, known for its garden, antique shops and some of the best restaurants in the city, and Bairro Alto and Chiado, a short walk downhill. Cais do Sodré and the riverside are ten minutes on foot. If you are spending a morning in that part of the city, the workshop fits naturally into the middle of the day before lunch.
